What InGage Does

InGage helps users perform LinkedIn outreach actions (commenting on posts, sending connection requests with notes, and sending messages) directly from LinkedIn pages they open, using user-initiated, browser-based automation.

Data Collection

InGage does not collect any of the following user data:

  • Personally identifiable information (name, address, email, age, ID numbers)
  • Health information
  • Financial and payment information
  • Authentication information (passwords, credentials, PINs)
  • Personal communications
  • Location data
  • Web history
  • User activity (clicks, mouse position, scroll, keystrokes)
  • Website content

Local Storage

The extension uses browser local storage to save user preferences such as selected actions, message templates, credits, limits, and settings so they persist across sessions. No personal data or credentials are stored locally.

Analytics Data Collection

InGage uses PostHog analytics to collect anonymous usage data to help us improve the extension. The following data is collected and transmitted to PostHog servers (eu.i.posthog.com):

  • Anonymous User ID: A randomly generated identifier (not linked to your identity)
  • Page URLs: LinkedIn page URLs where the extension is used
  • Browser Information: Browser type and user agent string
  • Usage Events: Actions performed (e.g., extension opened, automation started/stopped, connections sent, messages sent, comments posted)
  • Timestamps: When actions occur

This data is used solely to understand how the extension is used and to improve its functionality. No personally identifiable information, message contents, or LinkedIn credentials are ever collected or transmitted.

Third-Party Data Sharing

Anonymous usage analytics data is shared with the following third party:

PostHog (Analytics Provider)

PostHog receives anonymous usage analytics as described above. PostHog's servers are located in the EU (eu.i.posthog.com).

For more information, see PostHog's Privacy Policy.

Extension Permissions

InGage requires the following browser permissions to function:

Storage

Used to save user preferences such as selected actions, message templates, limits, and settings locally in the browser so they persist across sessions.

Tabs

Required to detect the currently active LinkedIn tab and ensure that automation actions are performed only on LinkedIn pages explicitly opened and viewed by the user.

Host Permissions (linkedin.com)

Required to run the extension only on LinkedIn web pages. This allows InGage to operate exclusively on linkedin.com when the user opens LinkedIn feed, search results, or post pages.

Host Permissions (posthog.com)

Required to send anonymous usage analytics to PostHog's EU servers for product improvement purposes.

Remote Code

All JavaScript and logic used by the extension are bundled within the extension package. No external scripts, remote code execution, or dynamically loaded code is used.

Data Usage Certifications

  • We do not sell user data to third parties
  • We only share anonymous analytics data with PostHog for product improvement (as disclosed above)
  • We do not use or transfer user data for purposes unrelated to the extension's functionality
  • We do not use or transfer user data to determine creditworthiness or for lending purposes
  • We do not collect or transmit personally identifiable information, message contents, or login credentials

Data Retention

Local data: User preferences and settings are stored locally in your browser and persist until you uninstall the extension or clear your browser data.

Analytics data: Anonymous usage data sent to PostHog is retained according to PostHog's data retention policies. This data cannot be linked back to your identity.
